Job summary:                                                                                                                                                                                                      The RM of Edenwold is accepting applications for the position of a summer student in the Administration Department to work from our Emerald Park office. The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • excellent communication, organizational and computer skills
  • be able to adapt to new concepts
  • have experience in general office duties
  • A proficiency with Microsoft applications and a knowledge of basic accounting principles will be an asset

Planning Assistant in Community Planning (Summer Internship)

Position: Planning Assistant in Community Planning (Summer Internship)
Term: June 3, 2019 to August 31, 2019          Deadline for application: 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019
Job Summary:
The summer student will support various planning initiatives in the RM of Edenwold and will work with the municipality’s planning team.  Some of this work may include, but not limited to research, data analysis, report writing, updating municipal maps and databases and communicating information regarding proposals and development plans with community members.
Qualifications:

  • Completed at least the 2nd year of a university program with a focus on community planning or geography with preference given to candidates who are nearing the completion of their degree
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analysis and report-writing skills
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel) and skills with Adobe suite is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
  • Keen interest in planning issues as they relate to both rural and urban environments

Candidates must clearly describe how & where they have gained the knowledge and demonstrated the abilities required. Interview selection will be made on the basis of this information.
