Bylaw No. 2026-02 - Text Change

Public Hearings

Intent: To amend several sections of the Zoning Bylaw to add “data centre” as a discretionary use in the IND1 – General Industrial District.  

Bylaw 2026-02 also includes development standards outlining application requirements, requiring data buildings and associated equipment to be adequately screened and setback from residential uses, and provisions to ensure the protection of the RM’s aquifers and water supply.  

Purpose: To provide an opportunity to develop data centres in industrial areas, while limiting potential adverse impacts.  

Council will hold a public hearing to receive submissions, written or verbal, on the proposed bylaw at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in the Council Chambers of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158, 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be sent by mail or email.
