Bylaw 2026-11 5-Year Review Zoning Bylaw Amendment
When:Notice of Intent to Amend the Zoning Bylaw
Pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, the Council of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158 gives notice to amend Zoning Bylaw 2019-20 as follows:
Bylaw No. 2026-11: Text Change
Purpose: To amend several sections of Bylaw 2019-20 known as the Zoning Bylaw following a comprehensive (5-year) bylaw review.
Proposed amendments include, but are not limited to:
- Updates to definitions to improve clarity and bylaw interpretation
- Various grammatical, spelling, and formatting corrections and changes
- Updated references to Provincial legislation
- Updates to policies related to development in the flood plain
- Updates to sections related to secondary plans and Comprehensive Development Proposals (CDPs)
- Updates to sign, shipping container, boarding kennel, hobby beekeeping, cannabis retail, and ILO regulations
- Changes to agricultural and country residential site size regulations
- Updates to permitted and discretionary uses in various Zoning Districts
- Changes to apartment building regulations
- Revised accessory building setbacks in various Zoning Districts
Public Inspection: Any person may inspect the bylaw online at www.rmedenwold.ca, or at the R.M. of Edenwold No. 158’s office located at 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, Saskatchewan, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies are available at cost.
Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing to receive submissions, written or verbal, on the proposed bylaw at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Council Chambers of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158, 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be sent by mail or email.
