2026 Fall Bins / Hazardous Waste Day

1) The RM Fall Bins arrive on Friday, September 25th, 2026:

The compost bins are for leaves, branches, and grass only. If the bins are full, please hold on to your yard waste until the next business day. Please do not pile any material outside the bins.

Also, do not use plastic bags. Plastic contaminates the bins and forces them to go to the landfill instead of the land farm. This results in a substantial cost increase for residents. If you must use bags, please use paper or compostable bags. The last day is October 15th, 2026.

2) The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Day takes place on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 (8am to noon):

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is garbage that is toxic, hazardous, or dangerous in nature. This can include materials that are flammable, corrosive, or environmentally hazardous.

Some items generally considered to be HHW include:

Batteries, Motor Oil, Lightbulbs, Antifreeze, Oven & Toilet Cleaner, Bleach, Cosmetics, Paint & Paint Thinner, Medication & Aerosols.

Proof of residency is required when dropping off (including ID, tax notice, utility bill, etc.) as the service is only available to residents of the RM of Edenwold.
