Discretionary Use - Garage Suite
When:Notice of Discretionary Use Application
Pursuant to Section 55 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007, the Council of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158 gives notice that a discretionary use application has been received and the details are as follows:
Discretionary Use Application: Garage Suite
210 Hanley Cres, Stone Pointe Estates | Lot 21, Blk/Par 1, Plan 101958699
Intended Discretionary Use: To allow for the development of a garage suite as per Section 5.5 of Zoning Bylaw 2019-20.
Public Hearing: Council will hold a public hearing to receive submissions, written or verbal, on the discretionary use at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in the Council Chambers of the R.M. of Edenwold No.158, 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, Saskatchewan. Written submissions will be presented to Council and can be sent by mail, email or dropped off at the RM Office. This Discretionary Use is being processed simultaneously to a Zoning Bylaw amendment (Bylaw 2026-18) to allow garage suites in a property’s side yard. Currently, garage suites are only permitted in the rear yard. If Bylaw 2026-18 is not approved by Council this discretionary use application will not comply with the Zoning Bylaw.
