Business Licenses

The RM of Edenwold is home to over 130 businesses. In fact, most of the businesses you see along Highway 1 east of Regina are within the RM. The Trans-Canada highway runs through the RM, in addition to three other busy highways. Close proximity to these transportation options is a bonus for businesses that require reliable and efficient transportation routes. Because of our ideal location, the RM of Edenwold is a prime place to conduct business.

If you are interested in starting a business in the RM or moving an existing business to the RM, please contact the RM Planning Department at (306) 347-2965 or by email at susan.stevenson@edenwold-sk.ca. They will be able to assist you through the development process and get your business operating quickly and efficiently.

Business License

In order to support businesses and the safety of residents, all businesses operating in the municipality require a business license. Business licenses must be renewed annually. There are many reasons and advantages to receiving a Municipal Business License:

  • All businesses require a Business License as outlined in the RM's Business License Bylaw. Failure to receive a business license may result in fines or legal action.
  • Access to municipal programs through the Economic Development & Recovery Plan, including the Green Fund
  • Be involved in municipal decision making when it comes to future development and business decisions

If your business is headquartered in the RM, there is no fee to apply or renew your business license. To apply, please complete a Business License Application Form and submit it to the RM Office by dropping it off at the RM Office, mailing it to 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, SK, S4L 1C6, or sending a scanned copy of your application to susan.stevenson@edenwold-sk.ca

Non-Resident Business License

If your business operates in the RM but is headquartered elsewhere, you must receive a Non-Resident Business License. There is a $100 fee that must be paid annually. To apply, please complete a Non-Resident Business License Application Form and submit it to the RM Office by dropping it off at the RM Office, mailing it to 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park, SK, S4L 1C6, or sending a scanned copy of your application to susan.stevenson@edenwold-sk.ca.
