The 2023 Budget Survey

One of the core values in the RM’s Strategic Plan is to be citizen-focused. A strong community is fostered through engagement and communication with residents and business owners and is grounded in responsible government. With community input, the RM can wisely plan and work towards having an informed council that is aware of the needs of the community.

To help facilitate 2023 budget discussions, we invited residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to fill out a short survey. The survey was open from November 1st to November 18th, 2022. The survey results were used to influence the 2023 budget.

Budget

The municipal budget predicts how much money the RM of Edenwold will earn in revenue each year and how much the RM expects to spend on expenses. The budget accounts for property taxes, public works operations, utilities, grants, wages and benefits, technology and software, and other municipal costs. Audited Financial Statements

Every year, following Canadian public sector accounting standards, the RM of Edenwold hires an independent auditor to review the municipality's financials and create an audited financial statement. This statement presents the financial position and performance of the municipality, including cash flow, revenue, and expenses.
